The Cortina upgrade is coming! This latest version of AvalancheGo migrates the X-Chain to run Snowman++ consensus, making the X-Chain compatible with Avalanche Warp Messaging. The Cortina Upgrade also introduces Batched Delegator Rewards and increases the C-Chain gas limit. 1️⃣ Unblocks the integration of Avalanche Warp Messaging (AWM) on the X-Chain and makes it much easier for exchanges to support the X-Chain. 2️⃣ Batched Delegator Rewards simplifies fee distribution for validators with large numbers of delegators. 3️⃣ Cortina increases the C-Chain block gas limit to 15M gas, allowing for more complex transactions to be issued on a single block. Cortina will activate on Fuji on March 30th.
